FATE 2.0 is officially in full swing and we have 27 brand new 9th grade students from the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy ready for a full year of amazing programming! We kicked things off with an early morning at the UM Challenge Program (a program staple). We love having this workshop at the beginning of the year because our students can let loose, get moving, and have some good old fashion fun! We spent the day doing activities that involved taking risks, building trust, and working as a team. We ran around with fun noodles, tried to throw stuffed animals into hula hoops as fast as we possibly could, and did a lot of team balancing. It was a fun-filled day and we loved seeing bonds begin to develop between the mentors and the mentees!
