Zingerman's
We were so excited to introduce our new group of 9th graders to our dear friends at Zingerman’s. They have never failed to bring their all to every workshop and this one was no exception! We started the day at ZingTrain with a big group stretch session led by Robby and then dived right into learning about the history and mission of Zingerman’s. We then broke off into small groups and brainstormed a list of things that we’ve accomplished and are most proud of. This list was later used for a personal visioning activity where students reflected on the following statement: “It is graduation day in 2020 and I am happy and proud of what I've accomplished. Here is what's going on that gives evidence of my success.”
Our students envisioned themselves being accepted to colleges such as University of Michigan, Wayne State, and Howard University, becoming a track star, receiving a 4.0 GPA, starting their own mentorship program for young teens, and getting a degree in social work.
The day also including a tasting session,”4 Steps to Great Food with Kieron & Brad”, a delicious lunch from Zingerman’s Roadhouse, and a tour of the facility such as the Creamery, Coffee Company, Bakeshop, and Zingerman’s Service Network office.
Thanks to Robby, Maggie, Kieron, Brad, and everyone at ZingTrain for an amazing day!
