Menlo Innovations
We had Menlo Innovations back with us presenting a two-part workshop series on “Let Your Who Drive Your What”. Our students were introduced to the concept of a “persona” and learned about the importance of interviews and observations. They practiced their interviewing skills with their mentors, observed the difficulties of electronic parking meters (we could definitely relate!), and created their own mind maps outlining the observations they made.
The second workshop focused around creating personas. We learned that a persona should have a focus and a problem to be solved and are based on a collection of multiple attributes of the people you observed. It was really cool to see the students connect their observations from the previous week and watch the creative process of each persona unfold!
Special thanks to Menlo Innovations!
