Three years ago FATE held its very first workshop. 22 9th grade students from the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy woke up bright and early on a Saturday morning, got on a bus, and travelled from Detroit to Ann Arbor, MI. They spent the day learning more about each other, themselves, and what they were in for over the next few years. The UM Challenge Program helped kick off the FATE Program in the most ideal way possible.
Three years later, the UM Challenge Program did it again! They kicked off year 4 of the FATE program in the same awesome fashion they kicked off the program itself. We spent the day doing activities that involved smart risk taking, trust, and working together.
